CALL FOR PANELS
7th International Conference on Public Policy-ICPP7
July 2 to 4, 2025 – CHIANG MAI (THAILAND)
Following the success of the six previous International Conferences on Public Policy in Grenoble (2013), Milan (2015), Singapore (2017), Montreal (2019), Barcelona (2021), and Toronto (2023), we are happy to announce the opening of the call for panels for the seventh International Conference on Public Policy (ICPP7), the leading international conference in the Public Policy field, organized by the International Public Policy Association (IPPA). Co-organized with the Chiang Mai University School of Public Policy, ICPP7 will take place at the Chiang Mai International Exhibition and Convention Center (CMECC) from July 2 to 4, 2025, with a pre-conference on July 1.
Join us in the vibrant city of Chiang Mai, Thailand’s second-largest city, renowned for its rich cultural heritage and stunning landscapes. Easily accessible via affordable and frequent regular flights (1 hour and around 40€) from Bangkok, Chiang Mai offers an inspiring setting for intellectual exchange and collaboration.
The Call for Panels is currently open until October 28, 2024. We invite all Scholars to submit a panel proposal which should include:
- A description of its general objective, the definition of its research question, and a justification of its scientific relevance. The panels can address any theoretical, methodological, or empirical research question and cover many topics provided they are related to Public Policy. During the Conference, the panels will be divided into 1 to 3 sessions of 2 hours each and organized around paper presentations. To allow researchers to meet other peers and discover new perspectives surrounding the same research questions.
- A «call for papers» detailing the type of papers expected for the panels. The panel chairs will directly manage the selection of the papers received during the call for papers and will be asked to accept from 4 to 15 papers according to their quality and relevance to the panel. Each panel will be an open panel allowing any scholar including those that the chairs can also mobilize.
- The format of the panel: online or onsite. As ICPP7 will be a hybrid conference, with in-person and virtual participation, we ask you to specify your choice. Please note that the onsite panel will allow for in-person and virtual presentations (in this case, the presence onsite of at least one chair is mandatory) contrary to virtual panels that will be organized only via videoconference. You can also opt to have onsite presentations only, please indicate it clearly in your call for papers.
Every panel will be reviewed by the ICPP’s Scientific Committee on the basis of the panel description and research question. If selected, the accepted panels will be published on our website along with their presentations, research questions, and the call for papers description.
