Call for Abstracts – Special Issue for SICA’s 50th Anniversary in Public Administration and Development Journal

Breaking Hegemonies within Comparative and Development Administration

Established in 1973 by the American Society of Public Administration, the Section on International and Comparative Administration (SICA) is celebrating its 50th anniversary this year. While SICA has provided a platform for scholars engaged in comparative and development studies, the discipline of public administration has often overlooked non-Western topics and perspectives. We are delighted to partner with Public Administration and Development (PAD) to commemorate SICA’s 50th anniversary. PAD has a long-standing focus on the administration of non-Western countries, particularly in the Global South, making it a more inclusive and appropriate platform for SICA’s anniversary publication. We are seeking a vast diversity of research that can contribute to breaking through the traditional roadblocks. In particular, the editors invite papers that can shed light on key topics/themes on comparative and development administration.

Interested authors will submit an abstract of a maximum of 500 words to Dr. Kim Moloney, KMoloney@hbku.edu.qa no later than August 1, 2023.
